Active Shooter Drill

The following images are the cumulation of six months of planning by multiple agencies for an Active Shooter Drill at Tusculum University. The drill was held on 15 December 2023, starting with “shots fired” in McCormick Hall with one SIMULATED fatality. The shooter then moved to the Niswonger Commons, where he had six SIMULATED wounded before barricading himself in a room. He was apprehended after negotiating with campus security and law enforcement officials.

The agencies involved in the drill include Greeneville/Greene County, TN Office of Emergency Management & HLS, Tusculum Police Department, Greene County TN Sheriff's Department, Greene County EMS, Greeneville Fire Department, Greeneville Police Department,  Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department, Emergency Response Chaplain, Danny Ricker, and Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.
